About me
I am an 8th-grade Language Arts teacher at Newton County STEAM Academy. This is my 17th year of teaching. I’m passionate about using technology to make learning more engaging, meaningful, and accessible for all students. In my classroom, we focus on building strong communication and critical thinking skills through projects that connect reading and writing to real-world topics. Whether students are creating digital portfolios, exploring literature through multimedia, or using technology to support their ideas, I aim to help them take ownership of their learning. I believe thoughtful use of technology can strengthen instruction, produce curiosity, and help students grow into confident, empowered learners.
