Dr. Ebony Smith, Assessment & Accountability Coordinator for Newton County Schools, is a dedicated educator whose journey from classroom teacher to district leader reflects her deep commitment to student-centered learning. Dr. Smith began her path with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Alabama and continued to build her expertise through advanced degrees from Kennesaw State University, Brenau University, and a Doctorate in Education from Columbus State University. With experience as a teacher, instructional coach, content specialist, and administrator, she brings a multifaceted perspective to education, grounded in both practice and scholarship. Dr. Smith is a champion for equity, innovation, and data-informed decision-making, striving to create inclusive learning environments where all students have the opportunity to succeed.
